Bloom Fundraiser

The Junior League of Reno has been closely monitoring and is following the guidance from our local public health and government leaders. As health concerns continue to rise, our League has decided to cancel the Bloom event that was scheduled for May 2, 2020. We thank all our members and community partners for your patience and understanding during this time.

Enjoy an afternoon of incredible appetizers, fresh mint juleps, and delightful lawn games on the beautiful and historic grounds of Rancharrah, where we will be raising funds and awareness for Northern Nevada’s most pressing issues. Help the Junior League of Reno make a bigger impact and reach our goal of giving more than $60,000 in community grants for non-profits in 2020-2021, impacting thousands in need through our partnerships with organizations like Safe Embrace, Lexie’s Gift, Volunteers of America, and Renown Children’s Clinic for low to no income families.

Take a peek at what the fundraiser has looked like in the past…

Derby attire! Typical attire is sundresses for women and slacks and sport coats for men.

Don’t forget best derby hat or bow tie! We will be having a hat contest for both women and men.

Please keep in mind, parking at Rancharra is limited!

The best option is to Uber or Lyft and be dropped off at the door. If the front parking lot is full, there is parking along Talbot Lane.

The Junior League of Reno is a volunteer run organization with only one part-time employee. This is unique for a nonprofit because the majority of the money we raise goes directly back into the community through our grants program and specific projects. Our current projects include the Renown Children’s Hospital, Volunteers’ of America and Safe Embrace.

The money raised at Bloom goes toward our budget for projects, grants, and community impact.

There will not be a full meal served, however, the event will provide heavy appetizers.
