Thanks for your interest in the Junior League of Reno! JLR is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Community-minded and forward thinking, our women bring their diverse life experiences and skills to JLR for the common goal of impacting the community for a better tomorrow.
Since its founding in 1901, the Junior League is one of oldest, largest and most effective women’s volunteer organization in the world, encompassing more than 150,000 women in 292 Leagues in four countries.
Today, as the Junior League of Reno enters its 40th League year, we are grateful to the many pioneers among our membership. We are proud of the community impact that they helped create, expand and support through the JLR past projects that include Kids on the Block, The Ronald McDonald House, Universally Accessible Playground, Wilbur D. May Great Basin Adventure and more.
